On October 31, the 2020 Project Excellence Award (PE Award) ceremony came to an end. The Pakistan Hub 2X660MW coal-fired power Plant Project executed and implemented by NWEPDI-TEPC (Tianjin Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd.) Consortium, won the Bronze Award.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the award ceremony was carried out in the form of online live broadcast. This is the first time that CEEC has been shortlisted for IPMA. This time, by Pakistan Hub Project, we filled in the gap of getting prize in Project Management field, and effectively enhanced our international brand awareness. It vividly represented the smooth domestic and international dual circulation of the enterprise, the achievement of CEEC's intensive overseas marketing, and the new pattern and situation of opening up and development.

Hub 2X660MW coal-fired power Plant Project is of great importance for livelihood in Pakistan and it is an important energy project in China Pakistan Economic Corridor. After put into operation, the plant will annually provide 9,800GW of electricity, which will supply power for 4 million households in Pakistan. It is of great economic and social significance to continuously promote the economic and social development of Pakistan.

The International Project Excellence Award was set up by IPMA (International Project Management Association) in 2001, which includes only one gold award, one silver award and one bronze award. It is the highest level honor for project management in the world and is known as the "Oscar" in project management field. The purpose of the award is to encourage and commend the project team that has achieved outstanding performance through professional project management, and obtained worldwide recognition, so as to establish an important and innovative project management model for the world.
